Some background, I work in the last division of a , we primarily do delivery of high end furniture and electronic items. I’m responsible for the payment of our independent contractors, invoice auditing, and analysis of distribution center operations on a delivery route level. Currently we do not have any real we track and I am working on that can be tracked on a weekly basis and then rolled up to a monthly, and finally yearly basis for long term tracking. I’m planning on tracking average cost per stop, number of stops, cost per item delivered, average cost per delivery route, mileage, and time per delivery. But I am not sure if these are worth tracking. So I would appreciate input on what are some good to track for last mile logistics.
